no Concerto
by Simon Steen-Andersen

Concert Premiere 2024 at WDR Funkhaus in Cologne

Role: Sound Director, Development & Programming Live Electronics & Light Control, Audio Concept & Technical Planning
In a distant future where music and concerts are no longer known, archeologists unearth a tape machine along with several tape reels, one of which contains a live recording of Beethoven's 4th Piano Concerto. To better understand the nature of the sounds preserved on these mostly deteriorated tapes, they connect the tape machine to a "reverse echolocation" chamber. This technology allows them to visualize and explore the space where these mysterious acoustic signals were originally recorded…
Live electronics were used to give the orchestra a vintage sound, and each group of musicians was able to control the stage lighting, creating a beautiful atmosphere that accompanied the story.
Simon Steen-Andersen's piece No Concerto performed by the WDR Symphony Orchestra conducted by Michael Wendeberg as a world premiere. Recorded live on February 3, 2024, at the WDR Funkhaus on Wallrafplatz with actor Sebastian Rudolph.

Interspecific Smalltalk
by Daniel Miska
Concert Premiere 2022 at Hochschule der Künste Bern
Role: Composer, Performer & Developer
A living electronic instrument consisting of many independent systems and processes that are in constant exchange, interacting with each other, generating energies and raising questions.
Guided by instinct, the specially established instrumental practices will reflect my influences from electronic club music, krautrock, jazz and spectral music. The laboratory studio craft will help break the boundaries of different genres, capturing the elements as a haunting moment.
Imagine People As Adolescent Birds
by Aino Salto
Released 2025 on Irascible Records
Role: Co-Producer, Mixing & Mastering
Recording: Hardstudios AG Winterthur von Michael Brändli
Musicians: Sonia Loenne (Vocals, Composition & Lyrics), Paul Butscher (Flugelhorn), Luzius Schuler (Keys), Tabea Kind (Contrabass)
The fact that musicians sometimes process what they have experienced is not a unique. But Aino Salto has the vehemence, the acumen and the ability to confront even the most unpleasant things with (black) humour like hardly anyone else. Born in France, raised in Leipzig and now living in Bern, the musician Sonia Loenne had the feeling for years that she ‘had to vomit something musical’, as she describes it in her own words. ‘Something had to come out. But it wasn't clear what that was. Until I wailed the music for my first album into the piano in autumn 2023’.
For this production, acoustic instruments such as drums, piano, double bass and vocals were processed using modern mixing techniques. Combined with synthesizer sounds, they support Aino Salto's stories on a tonal level. The blend of acoustic and electronic soundscapes creates a powerful, cohesive auditory experience, while still maintaining a focus on the band's dynamic interplay.
